I have been writing for the website Universe Today since the end of 2009. Generally, my writing focuses on discoveries relating to extrasolar planets, stellar and galactic evolution. A list of his articles can be found here.
Since 2006, I have maintained the Angry Astronomer blog where I write about science, education, secularism, and whatever else comes to mind. Notable posts include common misconceptions about the big bang and a review of science journalism.
Currently, I am slowly working on a book. This book is intended to cover most of the fundamental topics in astronomy today, with an emphasis on the history of the development of these ideas and the evidence for them. The purpose is to not only be a summary of modern astronomical knowledge, but a tool to innoculate against pseudoscientific claims in the astronomical field by providing readers with a thorough basis in the evidence. In other words, it is intended to be an astronomical companion to books providing evidence for the much beseiged topic of evolution like, Jerry Coyne's Why Evolution is True and Richard Dawkin's Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution.
